Unit 5 với chủ đề Natural wonders of the world (Kỳ quan thiên nhiên thế giới) giúp học sinh nói về các kỳ quan thiên nhiên, đưa ra lời khuyên và nhắc nhở quy tắc khi tham quan.
Từ vựng chính:
- Kỳ quan thiên nhiên: waterfall, desert, island, mountain, forest, ocean, lake, river, valley, cave.
- Tính từ miêu tả: amazing, beautiful, fantastic, famous, natural, wonderful.
- Du lịch và quy tắc: travel, visit, explore, follow the rules, keep quiet, litter, pick flowers, feed the animals.
Ngữ pháp chính:
- Must / mustn't + động từ nguyên mẫu: must = phải (bắt buộc), mustn't = không được (cấm). Sau must / mustn't luôn là động từ nguyên mẫu.
- Should / shouldn't + động từ nguyên mẫu: should = nên (lời khuyên), shouldn't = không nên.
- So sánh nhất: the most beautiful, the largest, the highest — dùng để nói một nơi là nhất trong nhóm.
- Famous for: Ha Long Bay is famous for its beautiful islands.
Kỹ năng: đọc – nói – nghe – viết về kỳ quan thiên nhiên; làm poster giới thiệu một kỳ quan (Project).
2. Ví dụ minh họa
Bài tổng hợp mẫu:
Ha Long Bay is one of the most beautiful natural wonders of Viet Nam. It is famous for its green islands. Visitors should take a boat trip to see the islands. Visitors mustn't litter. We must protect this wonderful place.
Phân tích: đoạn văn dùng đủ các điểm ngữ pháp của Unit — so sánh nhất (one of the most beautiful), famous for, lời khuyên (should), quy tắc (mustn't) và lời kêu gọi bảo vệ (must protect).
3. Ghi nhớ
- Sau must, mustn't, should, shouldn't luôn là động từ nguyên mẫu.
- Must mạnh hơn should: must là bắt buộc, should là lời khuyên.
- Ôn kỹ từ vựng về thiên nhiên và cách dùng famous for.
- Tự viết một đoạn văn 50–60 từ giới thiệu một kỳ quan em yêu thích để tổng kết Unit.
