- Tính từ tận cùng bằng e: large → the largest. Tính từ tận cùng bằng phụ âm + y: happy → the happiest. Tính từ ngắn gấp đôi phụ âm cuối: big → the biggest.
So sánh nhất của tính từ dài: the most + adj.
- This is the most expensive robot. (Đây là rô-bốt đắt nhất.)
- She is the most intelligent student. (Cô ấy là học sinh thông minh nhất.)
Tính từ bất quy tắc: good → the best, bad → the worst, far → the farthest / the furthest.
2. Ví dụ minh họa
At the robot show, there are many robots. Robot A is the fastest. Robot B is the smallest, but it is the most expensive. Robot C is the best cook — it can make 100 dishes! In my opinion, Robot C is the most useful robot.
Giải thích: Đoạn văn dùng so sánh nhất với tính từ ngắn (fastest, smallest) và tính từ dài (most expensive, most useful). The best cook dùng dạng bất quy tắc của good. In my opinion (theo ý kiến của tôi) mở đầu câu nêu ý kiến.
Bài tập nhanh: Điền dạng so sánh nhất: This is ___ (tall) building in our town. → the tallest.

- So sánh nhất tính từ ngắn: the + adj + -est.
- So sánh nhất tính từ dài: the most + adj.
- Bất quy tắc: good → the best, bad → the worst, far → the farthest.
